Our story

Built on OEM experience. Grown by repeat customers.

King CNC was founded in 2018 by Tom King, who had spent years inside the major OEMs, including CNC Speedwell, Matchmaker CNC and GF Machining Solutions, specialising in bespoke 5-axis Mikron machines. He set out to run a service company differently: treat every account as a working partnership, not a ticket number.

We're not just here to fix machines. We're here to be the team you can rely on.

Tom King Co-founder & Director

The approach caught on. The business grew on word of mouth, and several of the customers who signed up in that first year are still with us. As the diary outgrew a single engineer, Ryan Hoof joined as co-founder and director. Together they built a team of skilled engineers without losing the direct, personal service that got the business off the ground.

Today, King CNC covers the full CNC lifecycle across the UK: planned servicing, breakdown callout, spindle and ballscrew repair, machine relocation and installation. Same phone number. Same team. Engineers who already know the machines on your shop floor.

How we work

Three things we don't compromise on.

  1. Relationships that outlast the job

Customers who signed up in 2018 are still with us. We take on new accounts the same way: know your machines, know your people, be the number you call.

  2. Engineers on the phone, not a queue

Call us and you speak to someone who can already help. No triage script. No ticket relay. No routing.

  3. Judgement over checklists

Every machine, site and production schedule is different. We advise on what the job actually needs, and say so when you don't need us yet.

Bring us a machine, a problem or a project.

One number. One team. Engineers who already know the machines.
