CNC Coolant Care, Tank Wash & Anti-Bacterial Treatment

Metalworking coolant needs to be looked after. The HSE identifies exposure to metalworking fluids as a potential cause of dermatitis and respiratory disease, including occupational asthma, and controlling bacterial contamination of water-mix fluids is a key part of managing it. We arrive on site with our own Freddy coolant filtration system and IBC, drain and filter the existing coolant, clean and decontaminate the tank and sump, then either return the filtered coolant or refill with fresh coolant supplied through our partnership with Midland Oil Group.

What kit do you bring on site?
Our own Freddy coolant filtration system and an IBC. Coolant comes out of the machine into the Freddy for filtration and is safely held while we clean the tank and sump. Fresh coolant, where needed, is supplied through our partnership with Midland Oil Group.
Do you filter and reuse the existing coolant, or refill?
Depends on what we find. If the coolant is in good condition once filtered, we return it to the machine. If it's spent, we refill with fresh coolant through Midland Oil Group. You get a straight answer on the day, not a fixed script.
Do you dispose of the waste coolant?
Where required, we arrange collection through licensed disposal partners with the paperwork trail your environmental audit expects. You don't deal with the tanker or the manifest.
How long does a coolant care visit take?
Most single-machine visits are a day on site including drain, filter, sump clean, treatment and refill. Larger tanks or multiple machines get scoped up front so you know exactly what production time is lost.
Can this be booked with a routine service?
Yes, and it usually saves a callout. If the machine is due a service anyway, doing the sump clean and coolant care on the same visit is more efficient. The engineer already has the covers off.
