CNC Spindle Rebuild & Repair
Vibration, heat or noise? Catch it before the spindle catches you.
Bearings, drawbar and coolant seals wear before they fail. We assess in-situ, rebuild off-site (or in-situ where practical) with precision bearings, dynamic balancing and a documented run-out check before hand-back.
The signs a spindle needs attention
If in doubt, ring. A ten-minute call can tell us whether it's a rebuild, a bearing set or something else entirely.
- New noise from the spindle at speed
- Vibration you can feel through the housing or in the parts
- Temperature climb under load or at rated RPM
- Runout at the tool holder outside spec
- Poor surface finish that survives changing tools and speeds
- Drawbar not gripping tools cleanly, or releasing sluggishly
The shape of the work.
No two machines or sites are the same. Scope on the day is set by what we find. Use this as a guide, not a checklist.
- On-site condition assessment before we commit to a rebuild
- Bearing replacement, drawbar and coolant seal service
- Dynamic balancing and run-out verification
- Reinstallation and geometry re-check before hand-back
What you can rely on.
- Precision bearings from named manufacturers, not generic replacements
- Rebuild history documented for your machine file
- Loan spindle available on some platforms to reduce downtime
